- Supervising the stuffing, stripping, transloading and topping up of containerized cargoes.
- Ascertaining the soundness of seals on the containers, supervising the sealing, re-sealing and seal-breaking operations.
- Weighing and measuring of cargo stuffed, stripped, transloaded and topped up, or to be stuffed, stripped, transloaded and topped up into/out of the containers.
- Supervising lashing, securing and chocking of cargoes and dismantling same; and supervising dunnaging, separation and stowage of cargoes in the containers to ensure the safety of cargo and containers to ensure the safety of cargo and containers in movements.
- Supervising the reefer containers pre-cooling, temperature setting, recording and ventilation for fruits and vegetables, fish, meats and poultry, and plants stuffed or stripped into/out or the reefer containers.
- Performing pre-stuffing surveys on the quantity and condition of cargoes and their packing materials and to ensure the cargo to be stuffed in a cargo-worthy condition.
- Drawing samples at request to ascertain the extent and cause of damage to cargoes.
- Checking the quantity and description, and supervising the destruction of the damaged or expired cargoes.
