Heavy Lift Supervision
For out-of-gauge or high-value equipment, rigging, lifting points and weather are checked before and during lifts with angles and hold points recorded. Reports support project insurance, owner acceptance and contractor liability, and provide baseline data for incident investigation.

Heavy and project cargo
Machinery and other heavy or oversized cargo require planning around dimensions, weight, lifting points and the handling route. Instructions should identify the cargo and the planned operation.
Before, during and after lifting
Attendance can cover review of available plans and cargo condition, observation during the lift, and checks following placement. Key events and any deviations are recorded.
Pre-lift information
Relevant information includes cargo particulars, lifting arrangements, equipment documentation and site constraints. The survey scope is agreed with the parties before work begins.
Project planning and reporting
Documented supervision supports the parties in assessing handling and transport risks. Independent witnessing is distinct from statutory testing or certification of lifting equipment and does not replace the operator’s responsibilities.
How to arrange the survey

- Agree the scope, access, documents and reporting requirements.
- Arrange attendance and preserve the relevant evidence.
- The surveyor records observations, photographs and measurements within the agreed scope.
